Go to http://www.shoutcast.com and search for Astoria. Check out the amazing scanner shoutcast station. That’s my new fancy (well actually not that fancy) scanner going into the line-in on my server, which is read by darkice (player/streamer) and streamed to the same machine running shoutcast. The scanner is set to Columbia memorial, medix, Astoria police, CC sherriff, bar pilots and fire dept.

If you don’t hear anything, wait. There isn’t always a lot of radio chatter. It works, though. Beep media player plays it fine for me. Winamp should work for Windows users, and a mac ought to know how to do this by itself :-)
